Membership Login Details

There are three options to send someone their login credentials when they are first granted access to a membership offer. You can either send the default, system-generated email, select a customised email to send, or create a workflow. Whatever option you choose, the system will only send them their login details the first time they are given access to the courses area.

Default Email

DEFAULT EMAIL

1. Go to Memberships > Courses > Settings > Email Settings.

2. Toggle Send Welcome Email on and select Default Template.

3. Press Save.

This default email cannot be edited or customized. To send a customized email, you either select a template or create a workflow.

Customized Email

CREATE A CUSTOMIZED EMAIL

1. Go Marketing > Emails > Templates. You can either clone your branded template email or click on + New and choose a Blank Template (and then select Design Editor mode).

2. Rename your email at the top of the page, using the pencil icon to unlock the name.

3. From the Elements panel on the left hand side, drag and drop a Text element onto the page.

4. Click on Custom Values in the toolbar and go to Membership Contacts. You will need to Login URL, Email, and Password. We recommend adding a label explaining each value.

5. Press Save to finish and then press Exit.

7. Go to Memberships > Courses > Settings > Email Settings.

8. Toggle Send Welcome Email on and select the email you just created.

9. Press Save.

Customized Workflow Email

If you want to send different emails for different offers, you will need to create two workflows for each offer (one to grant access and the other to send the login details).

GRANT ACCESS WORKFLOW

You will need one workflow that grants access to the offer (or you need to add a Grant Offer action step to an exisiting workflow).

1. Click on Automation > Workflows and click the blue + Create Workflow button in the top right of the screen.

2. On the next screen, select Start from Scratch. Once in the workflow builder, at the top of the page, you can rename a workflow using the pencil icon next to the title.

3. If required, add a workflow trigger (such as Order Form Submission or Form Submitted).

4. Click the + to add a new event to the workflow and choose Membership Grant Offer. Select the offer from the dropdown menu and press Save Action.

5. Add any other required steps.

6. Press Save and toggle on Publish.

LOGIN DETAILS WORKFLOW

Next, you will need to create a second workflow that sends the login details.

1. Click on Automation > Workflows and click the blue + Create Workflow button in the top right of the screen.

2. On the next screen, select Start from Scratch. Once in the workflow builder, at the top of the page, you can rename a workflow using the pencil icon next to the title.

3. Click Add New Workflow Trigger and select Membership New Signup. If you want to set up the trigger for a specific offer, you can Add Filter > Select Offer > Offer Name.

4. Click the + to add a new event to the workflow and choose Send Email. You can either select an email template (see above) or create write an email in the action step (using custom values for password, email, login URL).

5. Complete the rest of the email.

6. Add any other required steps.

7. Press Save and toggle on Publish.

TURN OFF SETTINGS EMAIL

Once completed, go to Memberships > Courses > Settings > Email Settings to toggle off the standard email.
